The sharing economy is the most popular issue at the moment. Initiatives such as Uber and Airbnb are very famous and used by a lot of people all around the world.
The sharing economy brings people together. It is possible to share cars, home or workplaces and much more. To show the “real” value of the sharing economy, ambassadors organized the national „Sharing Week“ in the Netherlands. Between the 8th and 15th of October 2014, attention will be paid to many sharing initiatives.
In this week shareNL, Seats2meet.com, Nils Roemen and many more invite people in the Netherlands to mutually share, lend, exchange, rent and give. The Sharing Week will take place in the cities Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Den Bosch, Groningen, and Utrecht; mostly, in one of the Seats2meet.com locations. Whether you are a newbie or a pro – the sharing week is something for everyone.
The initiators want to show how much we actually already share with each other and initiatives such as Peerby, BlaBlaCar, ParkFlyRent, Croqqer and many others get a platform and become inspiring examples besides that. Furthermore, there will dozens of inspiring speakers like John Moravec (author ‘Knowmad Society), Gallup (Steve Jobs scholen), Claire Boonstra (Operation Education), Martijn Aslander (Lifehacker), Sjors de Vries, Judith Lekkerkerk (Ruimtevolk), Nils Roemen (Durftevragen) and Ronald van den Hoff, author of the book Society 3.0, talking about the chances of the sharing economy and its effects on our society.
